Alfred is a veteran User Experience Design lead with over 15 years of experience working in startup, corporate, and agency environments with extensive knowledge creating digital experiences for brands including Microsoft, Verizon, Nokia, Nike, McCormick, and Intel.
He is the founder of BCN.NYC, a digital studio with offices in—guess where—Barcelona and New York where he defines the creative and strategic direction of the studio.
Prior to forming BCN.NYC, Alfred worked at three NewYork tech startups, at Time Inc’s Sports illustrated as Head of Design, at RG/A New York as a UX Creative Director and, before moving from Seattle, as a design lead at Microsoft whose team created the award-winning Metro UI for the Windows Phone that defined the “flat design movement” and the foundation of the current Windows OS.
He then traveled worldwide, evangelizing major companies like Deutsche Telekom,Orange, AT&T, Amazon, eBay, Twitter, etc. to help onboard them into theWindows Phone platform.
